Position Summary
Under direct and general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, Asset Manager or Department Director with potential lead guidance from senior maintenance staff. No supervisory duties.
Entry-level maintenance position involving assisting with the repair and maintenance of the buildings, grounds, equipment and facility upkeep. Represents a foundational role in the maintenance worker series, distinguished by developing rather than advanced trade skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
One year of maintenance-related experience involving hand/power tools.
Licenses
Valid California Driver's License.
Physical Requirements
Capable of working at heights, climbing ladders, lifting objects up to 100 pounds, and performing work in closed and restricted spaces, requiring significant mobility.
Other Requirements
U.S. citizenship or appropriate work authorization. Potential after-hours emergency callbacks and occasional disaster services duties per Government Code 3100.
