Position Summary
Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, Asset Manager, or Department Director under general supervision. May provide lead-like direction to junior maintenance staff.
Executes diverse maintenance and repair work on housing units and facilities owned or managed by the Housing Authority. Represents journey-level expertise in building trades.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school completion or equivalent.
Experience
Three years of recent maintenance-related work involving hand and power tools for building and grounds repair, preferably in housing contexts.
Licenses
Valid California Driver License (required or obtainable immediately).
Physical Requirements
Work at heights, climb stairs, lift objects up to 100 pounds, work in confined spaces, and handle chemicals including herbicides.
Other Requirements
Proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful work authorization required. Reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
